Citizen Manual 1: Individual Tactical Skills (The Professional Citizen Project)

The audience for the Professional Citizen series of references is the "typical" Mom, Dad, son, or daughter who wants to learn more about self-reliance, readiness, prepping, and small unit tactics. These are NOT re-titled, re-covered, or re-written Army manuals. These are a fresh concept for the community, taking existing doctrine and best practices from prepping, outdoor, and military professionals and presenting the content in an easy-to-understand way. This book, the CM-1, is the starting point. Read the CM-1 first, then the CM-5 manual (Land Navigation) to build your foundational skills and continue the series with the other books. If you are brand new to this whole thing start with the CM-4, Teenage Prepper (it is not only for teens, anyone just starting out will benefit greatly from it). Mastering the tasks in CM-1 builds a foundation for you to continue to develop and train more complex skillsets or can assist in sharpening your approach as a seasoned tactician or prepper. Understand that this manual is just a starting point that provides some of the necessary foundational competences to build upon with the skills and tasks contained in the other Professional Citizen series manuals and guides.

CM-1 covers the basics; it includes proven tactical and technical skills including the contextual fundamentals of shooting, moving dismounted alone and in a tactical formation, communicating, and surviving in a modern unconventional environment. Approaches to training, gear selection, firearm selection, land navigation, terrain analysis, and foundational survival concepts and principles are all included in the CM-1.
