Misled Loyalty is the true-life story of Robert Alvarez who was a Mexican Mafia Associate incarcerated for I was incarcerated for 23 years, 11 months of my life between California Department of Corrections (CDC) prisons under CDC# K36147, and federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) institutions. Over those years, he was close to being killed several times and was involved in numerous riots and violence, He was a juvenile when he was convicted of two murders and an attempted murder. He was sentenced to the adult system where he was housed in some of the worst prisons in America. He was celled with a Mexican Mafia (EME) member at San Quentin and received "clecha" being schooled on how things work in prison. He soon started putting in work inside and when released helped create drug pipelines for La EME down in Mexico with major cartels.

Eventually he became very disillusioned with being a loyal soldier for them when he frequently saw back stabbings and dirty tricks played amongst EME members and people operating under them. He finally decided that he had been misled and betrayed by them as told during many stories in this fascinating book.
