Darcy’s Revelation: A Pride and Prejudice Variation

He was not the man she remembered. That was the problem.

Elizabeth Bennet had no intention of ever seeing Mr. Darcy again. So when her aunt and uncle suggested touring Pemberley during their summer trip north, she agreed only after confirming that Mr. Darcy was safely in London.

He was not.

What followed was a week that dismantled everything Elizabeth thought she knew about the man she once called the last in the world she could ever marry. A housekeeper who adored him. A shy sister who needed him. A village that respected him. And a version of Mr. Darcy that Elizabeth never imagined existed.

Now she had a bigger problem on her hands. She was leaving with the Gardiners in a few days, and she had to decide whether the woman who had refused him so fiercely could dare to trust her own instincts and give him a second chance.

This Pride and Prejudice variation was inspired by Jane Austen's beloved novel. The story reimagines events beginning at the Pemberley visit and diverges from canon thereafter.
