Merci (The Protected Book 2)

Merci Lewis is known for and as a lot of things, but at the top of the list, she’s known for being her father’s baby. Merc treats all of his children equally, but there’s no denying he has a special place in his heart for his baby girl. Under his guidance, along with her brothers, Merci has mastered dating and knows how to detach from men when she needs to, to avoid getting hurt. When tragedy hits, Hammer and his brother decide to leave the streets and the family business for good. He had no idea a decision made by his father decades earlier would potentially cost him the love of his life. Merci’s lack of a desire to date after being betrayed isn’t the only obstacle Hammer faces. He also has to deal with the fact that her father assassinated his father too.

Calling this a forbidden love story suggests Hammer is willing to stay away from the woman he’s sure belongs to him… but that simply won’t be the case.
