Let’s Bi Curious (The Cruise)

Dalton and Zane have been best friends their whole lives. Three months on a cruise ship was supposed to be easy.

I kissed him to make a point. It worked better than I expected.

I've never been someone who wanted things the way other people do. Physical closeness, sure. I've always liked that. But wanting someone. Actually wanting them, the way I understand it now. That was new. That was Zane.

I don't know when it started. Maybe it was always there, just waiting for me to catch up to it. What I know is that one impulsive kiss in front of a woman who deserved the shock of it cracked something open in me, and when I looked down at him afterward, heart going, hands still on him, all I could think was: it's just Zane.

He wasn't unaffected either. That almost makes it worse.

That's the part that terrifies me. Not that he's a man. Not what any of this means. But that I've spent my whole life not needing much, and now I need this. I need him. And I have no idea what to do with that except try not to lose the only person I've never had to explain myself to.
