Road Map to Travel Sports - From Someone Who Made a Few Wrong Turns

As a father, coach, mentor, and storyteller, I have spent more than a decade navigating the unpredictable highways of youth travel sports.
Based in Wisconsin, my experiences as a parent of multi-sport athletes, a coach, and someone deeply involved in the travel sports culture inspired me to write “Road Map to Travel Sports from Someone Who Made a Few Wrong Turns.”
Through countless miles on Midwest highways, early morning practices, late-night rides home, tournament weekends, and difficult conversations, I discovered that travel sports are about far more than wins and losses. They are about family, growth, perspective, sacrifice, and learning how to support young athletes without losing sight of what matters most.
I hope my writing encourages parents, coaches, and athletes to communicate better, align their voices, and remember that the journey matters as much as the destination.
I work as a financial advisor, remaining active in my local community, and have spent years involved in motorsports and youth athletics. My wife, Cresta, and I have built our lives around faith, family, and supporting our children’s dreams wherever the road may lead.
“Road Map to Travel Sports” is my first book. It’s written with the hope that it helps other families enjoy the ride a little more than we sometimes did.
